Hello!! My name is Leanne and I live in the beautiful Hunter Valley, NSW, Australia. I have been scrapbooking and making cards for over 6 years and found this wonderful, creative outlet completely by accident. I am so thankful that I did. Initially, scrapbooking was very much a part of the healing process, now however, scrapbooking is my creative outlet and provides me with "my" time. Scrapbooking enables me to document our lives through pictures and words for future generations. This is so important given that my son is an only child. My son and partner are the major focus of my pages, however my three neices are also often featured. I am extremely blessed to have a creative partner who understands my desire to create, and is therefore totally supportive of my scrapbooking pursuits. There is rarely a day that passes when I don't scrapbook, even if just for an hour!
I have an eclectic style and as a result my style is constantly evolving. I really enjoy experimenting with new techniques and my current favourite is creating dimensional backgrounds with a variety of mediums, heat and dry embossing and a variety of ink products. I love patterned paper and layering it on my pages. The challenge is to incorporate papers from a varirty of manufactures to create visual interest. My favourite technique is distressing. Creating off the page items has also become a favourite pastime and I especially love creating mini albums.
